This Adelaide bathroom renovation shows how one design decision can shift the feel of an entire space. The black ceiling gives the room immediate drama, while the soft stone-look wall tiles, brass fittings and natural light keep the result warm rather than heavy.
The heritage-inspired checkerboard floor grounds the bathroom and gives it a strong connection to the character of the original home. Against that base, the freestanding bath, frameless glass shower, arched vanity zone and dark cabinetry create a bathroom that feels contemporary without becoming cold or anonymous.
A 2.7m Italian feature-wall tile supplied by Italia Ceramics brings scale and texture, while premium fittings by Meir add a solid, lasting feel. Custom cabinetry by Aldon Cabinetmakers, lighting by Allera Light, and architectural design by Swanbury Penglase helped bring the space together.
