This renovation brought the staircase back into focus by working carefully with the existing timber treads, handrail, turned balusters and carved landing detail. The warm timber finish contrasts with the painted balusters, giving the stairwell a crisp, resolved look while still preserving the feel of the original home.
The tall stairwell, curved handrail and overhead light all help the staircase feel open and graceful. The finished result respects the home's age, keeps the craftsmanship visible and gives the space a cleaner, more polished everyday presence.

Refreshed the balustrade
White turned balusters were finished cleanly to sharpen the contrast with the timber and highlight the staircase's traditional form.
